When I have a problem with an airline such as lost luggage or cancelled flights, who do I talk to?
Contact the customer service department of the airline involved. Click here for a listing of Airline Customer Service numbers.

What if I have other questions when I get to the airport?
Check with a Hospitality Host who can help answer other questions. Hosts are located in the Welcome Center on the first floor across from the Security Checkpoint.

I have a disability. What type of arrangements should I make for my trip?
If you need wheelchair assistance, please notify your airline ahead of time. When you arrive at FWA, look for a Customer Service Agent – they are easily identified by their blue shirts and coats. They will be happy to assist you with luggage and are able to get a wheelchair for you if needed.

If I purchased my tickets a long time ago, are they still good?
Check with your airline or travel agent to verify your reservations and tickets. Most airlines can verify a reservation via their website.

Can someone drop me off or pick me up at the curb?
Yes, but for security reasons someone must remain with the car at all times while it is parked next to the terminal.

Where may I park?
You can park at the Short Term, Long Term
or Economy Parking Lot (the Economy Lot is payment by credit card
only). The public
safety officer who meets your car can direct you to the parking entrance
that you want. For more a map and for costs, see our Parking & Transportation.

Is there a place to smoke in the terminal?
No, Allen County prohibits smoking inside public buildings. There are several smoking areas established outside the terminal along the curb.

Can I reach the restaurant once I'm through Security Checkpoint?
You can get food on both sides of the Security checkpoint. The restaurant before going through the Security Checkpoint has both counter and "sit-down" service with a more comprehensive menu. They also serve beer in this section of the restaurant. There is a lounge after you pass through security that offers food counter service as well as a full-service bar.

Can I take a carry-on?
Carry-ons are allowed. Restrictions on the number and the size/shape of the carry-ons varies with each airline. Check with your airline for this information. In general, passengers are limited to one carry-on plus either a purse or a laptop. For the latest restrictions on items that may be placed in your carry-on, check the Transportation Security Administration’s website.

How early should I arrive for my flight?
Due to the ease of traveling from FWA, it is only necessary to arrive at the airport an hour and 15 minutes prior to scheduled departure time. You must arrive at least ½ hour prior to your scheduled departure if you wish to check any bags. Most airline counters are open at 5:00 AM - 5:30 AM.

Does Fort Wayne International Staff have any responsibility for air fares?
No. Air fares are determined by the airlines without input from the Airport Staff. The same is true for types of aircraft (with one of the longest runways east of the Mississippi, FWA can handle any type of passenger aircraft.) The airlines also establish flight times, which airports they fly to, and are responsible for oversold, cancelled or delayed flights (weather and air traffic conditions also affect delayed and cancelled flights). The airlines are tenants of the airport, much like the stores at a shopping mall. The airport does not have control or influence over the airlines.

Does Fort Wayne International Airport have a foreign currency exchange office at the airport?
No, we do not. For this service you may wish to check with: - Wells Fargo Bank - only for their customers - Conference and Travel (260) 434-6600 - American Express (800) 485-4589
We recommend that international travelers exchange their foreign currency back into U. S. dollars before returning to the United States.
